Unlike a traditional sandwich‐style thermostat plate this unit is designed to be mounted remotely from the engine block—closer to the oil cooler (on a crossmember frame rail or various brackets). Its four male Dash 10 fittings allow you to integrate it directly into your oil cooler hoses. The internal thermostat calibrated to 85 °C precisely regulates oil temperature extending the life of your mechanical components and ensuring peak performance even under extreme conditions. It’s ideal for automatically limiting oil flow to the cooler when the fluid is cold (during startup in winter etc.) and guarantees full flow once oil temperature exceeds 85 °C to maintain optimal operating temperature and prevent overheating.
